Being the Transformation

I got two great invitations, today. One for a party hosted by Joe Vitale, the other for a housewarming of a dear friend from the Spiritualist church. Somehow, neither of them called to me. It was odd. I am definitely needing more social time, especially child free social time. So why was I staying home when these two opportunities literally called me on the phone?
I trust, though. I trust the unfolding of the universe and my own inner alignment with that greater truth. So I gently said no to both invitations and remained curious about the outcome.
I puttered around the house, cleaning some, painting some, and of course, checking in on my communities via the internet. I recalled that a friend was looking for housesitting gigs, and I hopped over to the forum pages for Bodychoir. No calls for housesitting. There was a listing for tribal moon drumming. Sounds cool, neh?
I had to read it through several times. It was hastily posted, not organized, and clearly genuine. As I got to the heart of it, I felt my spirit enliven my senses with an undeniable rush of inspiration. It's a dance event, performance and drumming and community strengthening all at once. And they need costuming.
Baby, I'm good at a lot of things- but the only people who costume better than I do are at Mardi Gras and in Cirque du Soleil! I love to dress up, I love to help others dress up, I love body paint and wild expression of primal soul urges- oh, yeah, I get it now! I'm not going to those other things because the universe had something better in mind for me!
I called the organizer and she was nearly breathless with gratitude. Told me how she'd been putting out a vibe for costuming help. I guess I got it. Can't spend a lot of time sharing details, I've got some sewing to do. I'll share this, though. My costume is very snakey. Snakeskin dress, green cloak with ribbons, my best long curly wig. I'm all about the transformation.
Love to you, whoever you are.
